The Birmingham Community House "Canvas and Corks"

February 27, 2014 was the first "Canvas and Corks" class at the Birmingham Community House. I was honored to be asked to be the host artist. The 22 women and 1 "Picasso" man made for a fun night! I displayed a simple step by step demo and everyone painted along with me as we each created a pear. All of them were amazing, and yet each was very unique. I enjoyed it, and I thank the class for being such an enthusiastic and fun group. Brett Nicholson, as usual, and his department, did a great job in organizing it, and Patti Peacock was an invaluable partner to have during the class. Also, my good artist friends, Kristen Dukat and Gloria Moses are always there with valuable input that we all share on our various art ventures. The Community House is a non profit organization that is committed to providing educational, cultural, and wellness programs to the community. With the hundreds of classes offered, the Artist of the Month program, and so much more, I'm proud to be part of it!
