What was your first mark? Wish I could be a fly on the wall watching you paint. Did you underpaint first with red? I like the composition. Happy to see these flowers as snow falls in my neck of the woods : )
I have to admit, I can't remember. It all happened so fast yesterday. I think I had the board under painted first with another color. Then did a quick sketch maybe with blue, some reds. Then the shadows under the flowers. After the challenge, I will try to do a progression painting. Thanks Dotty!
Love the simple 'chunkiness' of it all. Gillian http://GillianStGeorge.blogspot.com
Thank you, Gillian! I like the chunkiness, too!
I see BIG brush - I (heart) big brushes..you do it well!
I LOVE big brush strokes without going back over them. Takes lots of practice! Thanks, Pattie!
Don't think I can add anything to these awesome comments except "beautiful!" Looking forward to your progression shots!
Thank you as always, Chris!
Love, pure and simple! Really like the unusual container Laurie :)
Thanks, Sheila. And the container just sort of happened!
A beautiful painting. I love the colors and the sparseness of the composition.
Thank you, Connie!
the red is such a great counter-point to the other colors - wonderful piece!
Thanks Val, I love a red background!
Love the simplicity of the shapes and colors!!
Love this one!
