#19 Are We There Yet?

#19 of the challenge. They are almost there maybe. I was really in the mood to paint a mother with her baby. Maybe because I'm feeling so blessed to be a mother. I had fun making those chunky big strokes in the foreground!

  1. Sweet mother and baby! But maybe I am misreading them. Maybe Mama is using all her strength and patience to say in a neutral loving voice: Baby Bear, I hear you saying you'd like me to read that book to you again for the hundredth time! Isn't it just the best book ever? I have a new idea—I'm going to lie down here in the green green chunky grass and look up into the deep deep red sky, and you can tell me the story from your very own heart!

  4. Love your title, the chunky greens, the I'm awake blue and dance with me red. That little bit of black on their paws makes me think they put on their best shoes. Maybe they are on their way to a forest party, and baby bear is excited because he knows there will be salmon mousse :)

  5. very cute. I really like the way you added the red and the blue into the bears. I like the chunkiness of the foreground but to me it seems disconnected from the rest of the painting -maybe throw in some of that red to tie it all together?

  7. Isn't it interesting what people read into a painting??
I like the connection between the two and the purple shadows they have...your colors really pop and make your paintings really exciting and fun to see every day. Very vibrant!
