#9 Don't Stop Now

#9 of the challenge. I was 3 -4 paintings ahead. Now I'm not. Uh oh..I know where I'll be all day! These people were really fun to paint. There may be troubles with them, or everything might just be fine. I just know that the hat girl has something important to say.

  2. Or, hat girl could be holding everyone else conversational hostage, ya just never know.

Did you use a reference photo? Love your shadows, your values. One of these days I want to return to my values exercises again.

I laughed when I read your comment re being ahead with paintings and then not, because as I opened your page, but before I read your post, I was thinking, "Laurie must be ahead with paintings if she posts so early in the day. Good idea." !

    1. Thanks, Dotty! I have drawers full, and sketchbooks full of people in different poses, settings, using different gestures, etc, and usually combine them to create a scene. That was my basis for my "Streetscene Series" (on my website)that I want to get back into. And I'm an early riser. Mornings are my very favorite time of day. I lay in bed dreaming about that first cup of coffee!
