"Gone Fishin"

This is one of those paintings that started out as something totally different! Lots and lots of layers of color and just fun to paint.

  1. Wonderful layering and hidden tones and I really like the serpentine fence.

  2. I always smile when I see LamujoArt in my inbox : )

Patches and blocks and spanses and sticks of color, shadows and light, boldnesses and hints: YES to them all!

C'mon, you know I'll ask: what did this painting start as?

    1. It started from a photo of Leland, Michigan with a boat (barge) in the foreground. It just didn't work out. Couldn't get the "feelin". So, as usual, I started free falling (or flying, depending on how things are going). Thanks, Dotty!

  3. Love the light, the fresh green growth, and the happily wonky fence!
