Lobby Lust

Well, this started out as a simple woman, in a provocative pose waiting in a lobby. She had no idea she would attract a business man in a crisp dark suit. He seemed to show up out of nowhere. But she was intrigued, and they soon found themselves ogling each other shamelessly. And I may be getting tired. The puppy has kept us up at night, and these are the kind of people who show up on my canvas when I'm bleary-eyed.

    1. Thanks, Sally. Boy sleepless isn't fun-you're right. But yes, I love it when figures start to emerge right before my eyes!

  2. Visions of amor! Love that that is where your mind drifts to. A bit of creative, positive visualization perhaps. Oh to be the sexy woman in red... thin we all have had that desire at one time or another. :)

  3. Totally love the off-the-shoulder spaghetti strap. I'm thinking I need to get me a dress just like that (and some long dark hair), and arrange for my hubby and me to get ourselves to a lobby somewhere to ogle each other shamelessly. Hmm, Dave may have to go shopping, too—I'm not thinking he has any crisp dark suits.

Laurie, this painting is deliciously evocative, telling its story so compellingly with color, light, shadow, composition, and gesture.
