Dock of the Bay

#10 of the challenge. I took this photo last summer at Interlochen, when I was there for the Mark Mehaffey workshop. But, as usual, this looks nothing like the photo. I strayed again. There's more to the story.....that is that I'm trying to be more loose and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't!

  1. Gotta love that learning curve. I think the colors are grand in this one and I'll just bet the painting out WOWS the photo by a long shot!!

  2. Laurie - just curious - what is the substrate? Did I miss it in the description?
    Thanks.

  3. Oh this one works. That cool water. Those greens, blue-greens, blues. The warmth of the wood. You pull us all the way in, with your figure on the dock... wish it was me getting ready to dip my toes in the cool of the water :)
