Wishin and Hopin

#18 of the challenge. I snapped a photo of this woman and she looked liked she was "wishin and hopin" for someone or something to arrive. The title is an old Dusty Springfield song (which is dating me I'm sure!). This is 8x10 with 1 1/2 inch sides that are painted to extend the image. Hangs without a frame and also looks great sitting on a shelf.

  1. The title dates me too - lol. I really like how you chopped the top of her head off - some how it make the painting less of a study and more of a vignette. Super once again Laurie!

  3. Wonderful position to capture...love how even though her mood is subdued she is rocking a fabulous blouse as she's "within and hopin."

  4. That won't get you into his arms! LOL
Love the quiet, steady blue floor. The cheerful, hopeful pops of red, and the light in her hair. Wonderful Laurie :)
