"You Seem Cool Today"

#8 of the challenge. I was inspired when I went to the Detroit Zoo recently. It was freezing cold that day, but was very fun to watch the penguins! These two looked like they could have been in a little spat.
This is 8x6 inches and has 1 1/2 inch wide gallery wrapped sides. The sides are painted with the image colors to extended around. It needs no frame, and also looks really "cool" sitting on a shelf!

  1. The shadows, the little bit of arctic radiance haloing their heads and burnishing their chests : )

The part you don't see in this painting is me walking in the diametrically opposed direction, away from cold toward WARMTH.

  3. I love Dotty's description of "arctic radiance." That really adds to the energy these two fantastic creatures have together. You have such a knack with color!

    1. Ha ha! Like the little twins....the girl is always going after the boy! Trying to eat his head! They're only 3 weeks old!
      Thanks, Sheila!

  5. Love that blue - and the figures are so cute together, they do look like they are having trouble between them. Sweet!
