The Time I Love You Best

Boy, was this fun. I don't know why, but it was. I'm still playing with warm/cool juxtapositions. I want to sit right back there in the (very) cool shade on the right, while always having the choice to get out into the sun. Always keep your options open I guess is the message here. Or don't put all your eggs in one basket. Or, I want my cake and eat it, too. I'll stop now.

  1. Boy, that warm purple blue touching the orange red DOES make this painting zing! How about 'the coast is clear, this one's alive and kicking!' or the higher you climb the cherry tree, the sweeter you find the cherries!'

  2. That is where I would be sitting, basking in those warm purpley grasses. I love, love the bluey, green blues of the distant trees. Did some one say there is cake?

  3. I'd love to take a walk through that place and park myself in the shade of that tree, soaking in all the colors....

  4. Love the balance of asymmetries in color and composition here, and the shadow and light in the tree leaves. I am soaking up the radiant warmth with delight.
