Another photo from my day on Claude's farm. This turkey, she told me, was going to be eaten for Thanksgiving. Wow, I thought. Glad he doesn't know it. He thinks he was invited for Thanksgiving!
See why communication gone awry is sometimes a good thing? Ha! Very fun to paint this:)
I really like the wonkiness of the fence and the touches of blue in the shadows. He looks smug - little does he know - lol Have a great weekend Laurie.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Val! He does look a little smug, doesn't he?!
DeleteLaurie, love how you show up so fully in your art, both in the painting and the titling. The fencing is the BEST, bringing artistic and contextual POP. Ordinarily, living in the shadows would seem to be negative, but I love your shadows and always want to crawl right into one to rest and renew : )
ReplyDeleteWow, thanks Dotty! I love your descriptions!
DeleteLove the light, the touches of blue and the wonky repetition in the fencing. Is it wrong that I am thinking of the weekday turkey special at Cracker Barrel?
ReplyDeleteHahahahahahahahaha Sheila, you just plain crack me up!
