Here is an imaginary pot of flowers. I love painting with the dark blues out there, and especially when they're grayed down a bit. This painting makes me happy, and I think because it was so much fun, but also because they seem like they're looking at me (and you!).
It is 14x11 and Acrylic
Haha! They ARE looking at us!
ReplyDeleteThis painting makes me happy, too, Laurie!
I'm glad it makes you happy......as your work always does for me, Chris!
ReplyDeleteFunny, they are, just like a muppet character. :) Love these subdued colors, very restful. The pop of white, the soft pinks and orange.. beautiful and serene :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sheila! Gotta laugh, right?
DeleteThey work together to form an IT which is definitely looking at us. And that center leaf makes a perfect nose - lol. Lots of fun Laurie!
ReplyDeleteFun is a good word, Val-Thanks!
DeleteLaurie, I'm intrigued by and drawn in by your abstracted/interpretive cruciform format in the background, and I am calmed and grounded by the shadow dances throughout.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dotty.......I don't see the cruciform, but that makes me even more happy about this painting. And "calmed" is a word I like!
