The Picnic

This was a painting that I had started at the Mark Mehaffey workshop a couple years ago. I ran into it recently and played with it. I didn't have a photo, so I just kind of winged it (seems like it should be wung!?). Anyways, it's pretty abstract looking now, and I realized I like it. That's a good feeling!

  4. I've been wondering where you were—turns out you were picnicking!

You wung well here, Laurie. I love the soft abstracted feel, the shadows on the ground, the hawk(!), the hand on ankle.

  6. Love wung. Love that everyone is using it. I think we all should use it, and maybe they will update the dictionary. Heck they add weird words all the time. And this one totally makes sense. LOL
I love everything about this. The trees, the sun, the wonderful hawk shadow. It takes me back to summers by the lake, or in the mountains with family. Love that summer feeling :)
