This was a painting that I had started at the Mark Mehaffey workshop a couple years ago. I ran into it recently and played with it. I didn't have a photo, so I just kind of winged it (seems like it should be wung!?). Anyways, it's pretty abstract looking now, and I realized I like it. That's a good feeling!
I was there with you! 😄 I love how you finished this up!
ReplyDeleteYes you were! And how glad I am about that! Thanks, Lauren!
DeleteNice to be reminded of those lazy days of summer. Beautiful painting, Laurie!!
ReplyDeleteI agree, won't last long now. Thanks, Chris!
DeleteWonderful feel-good painting! You "wung" it well!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Thanks, Laurelle!
DeleteLooking GOOD!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sue!
DeleteI've been wondering where you were—turns out you were picnicking!
ReplyDeleteYou wung well here, Laurie. I love the soft abstracted feel, the shadows on the ground, the hawk(!), the hand on ankle.
Thanks, Dotty! I didn't see the hawk until you mentioned it!
DeletePerfect depiction of lazy days. I really like the looseness!
ReplyDeleteI like painting like that- thanks, Val!
DeleteLove wung. Love that everyone is using it. I think we all should use it, and maybe they will update the dictionary. Heck they add weird words all the time. And this one totally makes sense. LOL
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this. The trees, the sun, the wonderful hawk shadow. It takes me back to summers by the lake, or in the mountains with family. Love that summer feeling :)
Thank you, Sheila! The hawk was a mistake, but I like the fella!
