#10 of the challenge. I spotted this family in Saugatuk, and I loved the dynamic between this man and his kids. They were heading to the dog parade, as yours truly was! Once it was underway, I didn't see one face that didn't have a smile on it. My beautiful (inside and out) daughter and I are set to hit Saugatuk, as always in March. A yearly birthday present to me. How lucky am I?

So evocative, so richly and simply captured. Thank you for taking me on a little side trip to when my kids were 6, 4, and 8 months, and my husband younger than he is today!
ReplyDeleteGlad I could take you down memory lane, Dotty. You did the same for me with Mr. Rogers!
DeleteWonderful scene, joyful. I love how you take a city, and make it magical. The buildings reflect the fun this family is having :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sheila! I love the word magical.....
DeleteAs always a lovely piece, Laurie. I really like the way you put little shapes together to create a harmonious whole.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Val!
DeleteYou are very lucky! How wonderful for you to make an annual trip with your daughter (& how wonderful for HER, too). Bet you had a great time painting this piece. Makes me smile, too!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Chris. Yes I am so lucky, in lots of ways! Glad I made you smile-!
