#21 Little Town Flirt

#21 of the challenge. I had fun with this one, partly because I was humming this song the whole time, and the painting just fit with the title. I love those oldies, and Del Shannon is one of my favorites. So, ladies, hang on to your man, because this Little Town Flirt is back in town!

  1. Love the light, love the legs, love the arms, each telling us a thousand words of story. Especially love LTF's slipped spaghetti strap and hand at hemline.

Question: what's the shortest hemline you've ever sported? When we moved to London in late 1967—think Twiggy, think Beatles, think mini-skirts—my sisters and I shortened our skirts and dresses (because the world hadn't yet quite decided pants were OK for girls to wear to school) four different times. We'd think we were bold, but no. Up we'd go another inch. pffft! You call that short? And so on. I remember sitting in class on the very front edge of my seat just to have enough fabric under my tush so my legs wouldn't be directly touching the cold seat.

  2. Ha ha, yes Dotty - our school had the 'if your arm is straight down and your fingers touch the hem' you had to go home and change. All one had to do is slightly shrug your shoulders and up would come your fingers - and they bought it! Yes, Laurie, this girl is definitely on the prowl!
