#29 of the challenge. Sometimes, whether it's a stranger or a friend, I think we all need someone to say, "It'll all work out". Maybe this man is in the middle of a crisis. This is one of those paintings that named itself after the fact! On the other hand, maybe he simply wanted a cold beer. Then the title would have to change, and I'm too tired!
love how you've made the interior a delightful mosaic of pattern, it really draws the eye to the figures and their one on one. wonderful painting!
ReplyDeleteI have three things to say:
ReplyDelete1. Yes to the mosaic of pattern and color!
2. Maybe the bartender is the one getting counsel from the customer!
3. "It'll all work out" is exactly what I need to hear today. Thank you : )
I like the intimacy of this one...just think what kinds of things bartenders hear from their customers. Love the title...a great thing to remind ourselves of.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, this is beautiful!! I love your painting style and your color choices. And I think the title is perfect!!
ReplyDeleteLove the patchwork colors. I also love when your paintings are smooth blocks of color (so good at everything!) Even before reading the title, I thought of... comforting. The warmth just draws me in, and it is so clear that there is a deep connection in this moment.
ReplyDeleteAgain I am drawn into that back corner behind the bar. Probably the restrooms, but maybe the entrance? There is just enough light that makes me want to find out. Wonderful work Laurie :)
Thank you all so much!
ReplyDeleteIt always amazes me what you manage to convey with connecting blocks of color - fabulous!. Great floor too, Laurie!
